Striking Scanning from Fujitsu

The weather and the calendar finally agree – summer is truly here. And one of our absolute favourite things about spring is that it heralds a wealth of new tech releases; forget the bees; we’re the ones buzzing with delight!

In March we saw the first tranche of new products from scanning giants Fujitsu. The Fujitsu fi-7460 and fi-7480 are desktop document scanners with a difference...

Small enough to fit in the average office, they deliver the power and versatility of machines twice their size. Capable of handling both the finest detail and remarkably large documents, the scanners can cope with anything from a credit card, right up to something the width of A2 as well as filled envelopes, passports, and booklets – we’ve not actually experimented with feeding through a roll of wallpaper, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the fi-7460 and fi-7480 could handle it!

Both machines have also been devised to operate with a variety of paper types, so they can take care of delicate documents – literally tissue paper thin – that you might otherwise hesitate to scan. This flexibility is absolutely what the modern office needs. Add to that, the scanners have been created to use less energy than their earlier counterparts, with an automatic energy-saving mode. And when you then add in an impressive uninterrupted throughput of 60 or 80 pages per minute, according to the model, you have yourself a scanner that really is hard to beat.

Measuring just 380mm (width) x 209mm (depth), the Fujitsu fi-7460 and fi-7480 are the most compact scanners in their class, yet they manage to pack in a whole lot of tech. The fi-7460/fi-7480 come bundled with PaperStream IP, an integrated scanner driver and image enhancement module that is built on TWAIN/ISIS standards offering user friendly operability, intuitive high quality image creation and real time processing that will benefit post scan routines like OCR. PaperStream Capture enhances the document capture process from adjusting scanning settings to performing batch scanning, verifying data and releasing to directories, repositories or subsequent process routines. Users can complete data capture tasks easily with the extremely user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI).

These scanners are a perfect scanning solution for your customers where space is at a premium, scanning versatility is paramount and the scanning process is made as intuitive and automated as possible.

OK; they’re ‘just’ scanners, but we must admit to being a little bit in love! If they are making you weak at the knees too why not click here to purchase your very own or call 0118 912 6000 for more information.
