Meet Paula 'Cast Iron' Kastrouni - Westcoast's first female CRN Fight Night contender

If there’s one Westcoast employee that you don’t want to get on the wrong side off, it is surely Paula ‘Cast Iron’ Kastrouni. This month, sales account manager Paula will confidently stride into CRN fight night 2017, aiming to unleash the frustrations of three (almost) alcohol free months of extreme training onto her unwitting opponent.

We spoke with Paula to find out a bit more about the woman behind the flying fists and why she has decided to take on the mantel of securing Westcoast’s first winning belt in the annual fight night event. “I’ve been involved in martial arts in the past, I enjoy having something to work towards and a challenge to look forward to. I enjoy going out and having a wild time so this has made me calm it down and focus on something else, giving me a controlled environment to release my energy”

CRN Fight Night is back and Westcoast is still fighting fit

It's nearly that that time of year again. Time to put on our boxing gloves, dig out the foam fingers and look forward to one of the best channel nights out in the industry, watching 10 of the channel's bravest contenders battle it out in the boxing ring all for their chosen charity.

Is it just me or does it feels like the buzz from CRN Fight Night 2016 is still ringing in everyone's ears and now... it's creeping up like there's no tomorrow! - Seriously where did those last 10 months go.

The event is a sell out every year. Hundreds of industry professionals come together to watch the action live from the ringside. Now fast approaching its 10th anniversary CRN has raised over £200,000 for charity since it first launched.

Westcoast wins CRN Distributor of the year!

If  you're in the IT channel industry and weren't at the CRN awards last night then you definitely missed out. The event was a huge success from start to finish and with a great line up of shortlisters and Frankie Boyle hosting, it certainly had us all on the edge of our seats.

It was a great night for Westcoast having been shortlisted for 3 awards, and being crowned CRN's Distributor of the year it really was the highlight of the night!

Into the Ring with Scott 'The Admiral' Nelson

Less than a month from now our very own Scott Nelson will be stepping into the ring for one of the biggest channel events of the year CRN fight night 2016.

Due to take place on Thursday 26th May at the Brewery in central London, the event is now in its ninth year and has raised over £180,000 for charity since it first started in 2008.

Every year the event reaches it's full capacity, where over 500 industry professionals come together to support their ultimate fighters, whilst at the same time raising money for their chosen charities.

This year after a very intense selection process we have our Print Specialist Account Manager Scott Nelson representing Westcoast who couldn't be more thrilled to take part in such an exciting event.

So of course.. in prep for the big fight there were some questions we were very eager to ask him...
