Unlock additional marketing funds with these Big Pitch top tips

By Phil Lamplugh

In the world of IT, it can be difficult for organisations to get seen. That’s why last year Westcoast launched The Big Pitch, and that’s why we’ve brought it back again. The premise is simple: we give your Microsoft marketing funding a boost, so that you can carry out bigger and more impactful campaigns.

Resellers can bid for up to £8000 of additional funding, and the process couldn’t be simpler. All you have to do is go to our dedicated webpage, fill out the application form and send it to us at MicrosoftMarketing@westcoast.co.uk. We’ll get back to you with some questions, and this will hopefully be followed by us accepting your proposal.

One thing to keep in mind is that this funding is only for Microsoft products. We’re looking for plans that are going to blow our minds, with a particular focus around cloud products or Surface – and remember, the funding has to be matched 1:1 by your organisation.

Here’s some key tips to keep in mind when putting your application together:

1. Keep deadlines in mind! Applications are due by the 11th of September, and all activity has to be completed by the 30th of November.

2. Don’t rush it – depending on when you’re reading this, you’ve got around a month to get a plan done, so use the time to put something together that’s high quality.

3. Make it measurable – the application form asks for expected ROI, so make sure you can measure this.

4. Difference differentiates – we’re looking for marketing plans that are going to turn heads and try something away from the norm.

5. Get it to stand out – just because we provide an application form doesn’t mean you can’t submit anything else; feel free to tell us a bit about your organisation with a PowerPoint file or provide anything extra you think will push your application to the next level.

And that’s it! We’re looking forward to going through all of the applications in September – make sure yours is one of the standout entries!
